The Best Reviews and Advice on Books for Young Boys

Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney
If you have a boy that is too lazy to read, then don't feel alone. I've been trying very hard to get my boys to start reading, instead of play video games etc. The question that confronted me was, "How can books compete with the current technology and be cool enough to get youngsters to put the video games down and actually read a book?"

The answer was simple. Pre-select some really cool books, that might at first glance not look like good books. The secret lies in the fact that you need to get your foot in the door any which way you can. So the initial books you select might not look like anything worthwhile, but as your youngster get hooked, he will start to ask you for better and better reading material.

I bid you welcome to my new blog about this beautiful journey of life, called reading and how to get your precious young ones to join us on this journey.

I will be providing some great reading ideas over the next couple of weeks focusing specifically on books for youngsters up to 13/14 years of age.
